About us
Popcultuur Wageningen has the aim to promote and stimulate live music by organizing concerts, gigs and festivals in Wageningen. The foundation consists of a small group of volunteers, under the lead of a three-man board. During festivals, the organization crew is supported by enthusiastic day volunteers to up to 50 people strong!
Popcultuur Wageningen strives to provide a stage for young, talented local and regional artists that perform their own work.
We are an independent foundation that collaborates with other organisations for the events, for example the Popwaarts foundation for the Popronde, Comité 4 & 5 mei (Committee 4th & 5th of May) for the Bevrijdingsfestival (Liberation Festival) and 3voor12 Gelderland, the local division of the music platform from the public broadcasting service VPRO.
